Looks Like Hypocrites Are In Season

Two dozen “patriotic millionaires” traveled to the national’s capital on Wednesday to demand that Congress raise taxes on wealthy Americans.
The Daily Caller attended their press conference with an iPad, which displayed the Treasury Department’s donation page, to find out if any of the “patriotic millionaires” were willing to put their money where their mouth is.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that these are the same people that give 1/4 what conservatives give in charitable contributions each year. Funny how that works, huh?

My comment to these useful idiots is - DO THE MATH! Here are some inconvenient ideas to ponder, someone with more time than me can verity with research:
1. The top 1% would need to be taxed at a near 100% rate, and that may still not balance the federal budget at today's spending rates.
2. Tax increases never bring in the amount of tax revenue projected.
3. Congress always increases spending by more than the actual tax revenue increase when there are tax increases.
4. High tax rates of past decades (i.e. top marginal rate of 70-90%) is often cited by these tools, but the reality is noone actually paid these rates, the actual tax paid during those years tends toward a historical norm simliar to rates today.
If these statements prove true, then one must conclude the federal budget deficit is a spending problem. Spending should be addressed first and separately.
By the way, the interviewer is smoking hot and she did a very good job.

Typical "do as I say, not as I do" situation. I'm not a bit surprised. Consider Warren Buffett dodging taxes to the max, yet at the same time continuing to advocate higher taxes. These folks are hypocrites. I bet they'll deduct their travel expenses for their trip to D.C. too.
Amazing that they don't understand that the problem is SPENDING!! and not revenue.
I also agree with Herb regarding the "news babe". Hope she sends her resume to Fox News.
