Goodbye... For Now

Well, I tried it for another month, but I just can't bring myself to do this site halfway. Because of that, on this one year anniversary of FL Pundit, I've made the decision to shut the site down. I just can't put the time and thought into the site I once did, and because of that the quality of what is produced has suffered. There are still some funny bits, but not nearly as many as there used to be. That's just not good enough.
I'd like to say thanks to all of you that helped make this site so enjoyable to put together. There were roughly 30 regular posters on this site, an amazing number when you consider the volume of traffic this site produced compared to some of the larger conservative sites. The worst thing about shutting this site down is losing that daily contact I had with many of you. I hope we can continue those conversations via email or through different conservative boards. You can always reach me through the FL Pundit site.
I'm sure I'll still post the random item, so check back from time to time if you're so inclined. I hope you all have a great Christmas & New Year and thanks for the support!

I fully understand your rationale. Looking on the bright side, your successful profit making endeavors leave little time for maintaining this site, and "throwing softballs" from time to time to your humble followers. I've thoroughly enjoyed this, and the interaction with you and the other regulars.

I'm really sorry to hear this. I certainly get it, but it's just to bad. I'll miss hearing from you and all if the other regulars. I hope you find your way back at some point. You'll be missed.

I read your piece above and felt like something inside of me just vanished....It came to
mind what a warm and positive feeling you and all these wonderful people who post
on this site has made in my life and how much i care for each of you.......
As much as i hate to see you go, i also relize nothing is forever,that is with the exception
of death, taxes and the love of God.....

I'm not going to be sorry to hear it. I'm gonna complain! I think the site is great fun, and that you should see if there is a way to generate revenue from the site and hire help. So you don't think you've been operating up to your potential lately...I can relate. It is admirable that you're able to recognize your work with clarity (although I think I've still been having just as much fun). So go take a damned vacation! Let the TSA give you a good time on the way. Come back, rejuvenated and ready to make more fun of liberal stupidity than ever before. We need MORE voices like yours: sanity coupled with comedy. Reason coupled with wit. We don't need fewer...
Although, Crowder is back now...and he's always good for some laughs.

Thanks for all the kinds words. Makes me feel very sad about the decision, but it's really the only option at this point. There is no doubt I will one day take take up where I left off, but until then, I'll post the occasional bit or Cultural Recommendation. Who knows, I might miss doing this so much I can't stay away. Time will tell.
It's been real Pundit. You had the best group of posters of any site I visit. Like you, I got very busy about six months ago and didn't comment like I used to, so I understand where you're at. You've got to earn a living. Hopefully you'll be back in short order. I'd like nothing better than to see the rebirth of the Turd Ferguson Comment of the Week one day.
This is a sad day, words escape me. Chuck, I love you like a brother. You helped me survive a year of the Obama presidency.

This is a very sad day. I think I was one your first regular posters and I have thoroughly enjoyed spending time here. I'll miss the comedy and music most of all. You had a great site, regardless of what you thought!
