Cultural Recommendation (50)

My good friend Chas reminded me that today is the 39th anniversary of the death of the great Duane Allman. A few years back, Rolling Stone named him the second greatest lead guitarist of all time, behind only Jimmy Hendrix. That's high cotton when you consider he died at the age of 24. In honor of Skydog, I'd like to share a few classics.

Pundit--- it always seems that the good die so young a leave a wonder of void with
kindness...We can see many ways of spreading light....To be the candle, or the mirrow
that reflects it..

All music helps us to grow and expand...Music and the love of music brings laughter into
our souls and feeling into the lives of those around us and the world has expanded with
music and great people....Duane was one of the chosen ones.....

If at all possible every fan of Duane's and the Allman Brothers Band should vist the "Big House" in Macon Georgia. It's the Allman Brothers Museum.
