If it were up to government those miners would be dead. Look how Obama responded to the Gulf Oil disaster. Wouldn't accept help from outside countries, woudn't suspend regulations put in place to protect unions, etc. In Chile the President got government red tape quickly removed, allowed outside PRIVATE entities with expertise to come in and get it done. If they had a union boss making sure the drillers got breaks and only worked so many hours a day.....those miners would be stuck into 2011. By the way the drill bit and the cable used.......new technologies developed by private, for profit entities.
Tea Party is for LESS govt/taxes/regulation/spending not NO govt/taxes/regulation/spending.
