Based on the writing of this note, which man is more likely to vote Democrat? Which is more likely to vote Republican? I think that says it all doesn't it.

Neither Carlos nor Mark vote Republican.
Carlos doesn't work hard enough to be a Republican, and has no sense of self-actualization or achievement.
Mark, on the other hand, is his whiny co-worker, who believes (for now) in tolerance and affirmative action.
In a few years, when enough of the moochers like Carlos vote to control the government, Mark will realize the error of his ways.
Sam, who owns the restaurant and IS a Republican, would simply fire Carlos for shirking his duties, and would not leave such a weak message. Sam's note would be:
"Carlos,
Get your ass in gear or don't show up tomorrow."
